Introduction
ØKT ("we", "our", or "the app") is a workout logging application developed for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how ØKT handles information when you use the app.
We built ØKT with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. The app does not require an account, does not connect to any server to store your data, and does not include any advertising or analytics infrastructure.
Data we do not collect
ØKT does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports sent to third-party services
- Health or fitness data shared with external services
- Payment information
Data stored on your device
All data you enter into ØKT is stored exclusively on your device using the operating system's local storage. This includes:
- Workout sessions, exercises, sets, and performance history
- Body measurements and profile information
- Training goals and streak history
- Planned workouts and calendar entries
- App settings and preferences
- Exercise favorites and setup notes
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any ØKT server, not shared with third parties, and not accessible to us in any form.
If you use Apple iCloud backup or Google device backup, your device's backup settings may include app data stored by ØKT. This backup is managed entirely by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies — ØKT has no involvement in or access to these backups.
Third-party services
ØKT does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data processing services.
The app uses the following platform services provided by Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) as part of standard app operation:
- Expo / React Native framework — the technical foundation of the app. No data is transmitted to Expo servers during normal app use.
- App Store / Google Play — app distribution platforms. Download and purchase information is handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
When you tap the YouTube "Guide" button within the app, you are directed to YouTube in your device's browser or the YouTube app. Any data collected by YouTube during that session is subject to Google's privacy policy, not ours.
Children's privacy
ØKT is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app does not collect any personal data from any user, there is no special risk to younger users beyond the general device-local data storage described above.
Data deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times.
- Delete a session: use the Delete option inside any saved session in the Log screen
- Delete all data: uninstall the app from your device. All locally stored app data is permanently removed.
There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of, because no such data exists.
Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through an app update.
We do not anticipate this policy changing significantly, as the fundamental architecture of ØKT — local-only data storage, no accounts, no tracking — is a core design principle rather than a feature that could easily change.
